| Is one of the most hospitable of the Cyclades Islands. With an are of 151 sq.kil., it is about 86 miles from Athens. The population of approximately 5,000 is distributed throughout eight villages: Plaka, Plakes, Triovasalos. Pera Triovasalos, Tripiti, Pollonia, Zephyria and Adamas. Milos is unique in its volcanic nature and in the rich mineral wealth of it sub-soil.
