If you stay at a little mom and pop place or a superior deluxe hotel the experience of staying in a Greek hotel is fantastic..  As you get off the ship on most the greek island groups of LODGING HOSTS  or owner of small Greek hotels greet you. That experience alone is sometimes worth the trip to many of these place whether on a Greek island or in Athens, or Crete.

LODGING:    Greek hotels are classified into four standards DELUXE (five stars) "A" (four stars) "B" & "C" (three & two stars). Within those groups is "SUPERIOR" which means they are above average within the group.
