COLLEGE YEAR IN ATHENS

An unbelievable Greek experience.  Founded in 1962 by Ismene Phylactopoulou, who envisioned an academic program for English speaking students to open not only their minds, but also their hearts to Greece, and everything Greek.  This idea developed into an amazing program including "Study Travel."  "Study travel is conducted by faculty and other experts with special knowledge of the sites and places visited and constitutes one of the principle means by which the Program achieves its more general goal:  the introduction of the students to Greece, its people, geography, landscape, natural beauties, history, civilization, sites and monuments (ancient, medieval and modern).  Study travel engages students in what Philip Sherrard called "the pursuit of Greece" and involves them in a process of discovery that may engender a life-long interest." For the summer or for the academic year you will find it very rewarding.  As alumni of the  Class of '71 we highly recommend this program.
