Right on the beach and easy to get to with bus or tram.  I stayed there one winter and was still swimming in December, but do not count on that.  Some great places to eat one that I really liked was DIPORTO or The Two Doors.  It fronts two streets and is only a block from the beach with some "view" of the sea.
